Emily Irene VanCamp originally wanted to pursue a career as professional dancer. But, while having a time spent with her sister Katie in her role on the Ladies Room movie set, Emily was captivated by acting. Her career in acting began when she enrolled in classes. VanCamp made a breakthrough in his career when he was cast in the WB horror/mystery television show Glory Days as Sam Dolan. The role she played was Amy Abbott. The role resulted in her being nominated as an Young Artist Award nominee and for four Teen Choice Awards.
